Susanne B. Haga, PhD

IGSP Scholar, Assistant Research Professor

Susanne B. Haga, PhD is an IGSP Scholar and an Assistant Research Professor. She received a PhD in Human Genetics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1999, and dual majored in biology and chemistry at Western Maryland College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.

Susanne was a Senior Policy Analyst for the National Institutes of Health, and served as staff to the Secretary' s Advisory Committee on Genetic Testing. She then served as the Project Director of Human Genetics at the Venter Institute, formerly The Center for the Advancement of Genomics.

Before joining the IGSP in 2005 as a Senior Policy Analyst, she was a Genetics Science & Policy Consultant for a variety of clients including the American Society of Human Genetics, NIEHS, the Center for Genomic Health Care and the Medically Underserved at the University of Washington, Genetic Alliance, Inc., and Genomic Health Inc.
