Protocols & Standardization
The Duke IGSP Biorepository is developing a number of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols for collection, handling, processing, banking, and analysis of biological specimens and associated data to maintain sample and data integrity and comparability, and to assist investigators to conduct studies in a reliable and reproducible manner. These SOPs are based upon guidelines and best practices from several biospecimen research organizations, as well as evidence-based assessment of methods and reagents.
